Method
Turkey Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Turkey
Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C). Rinse the whole turkey under cold water and pat dry with paper towels.
- 2
Season the Turkey
Rub the turkey all over with olive oil and season generously with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, and rosemary.
- 3
Roast the Turkey
Place the turkey breast-side up in a roasting pan. Pour chicken broth into the bottom of the pan to keep the turkey moist. Roast in the preheated oven for approximately 13-15 minutes per pound, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- 4
Rest and Pull the Turkey
Once cooked, remove the turkey from the oven and let it rest for at least 30 minutes before pulling the meat off the bones. Use your hands or forks to shred the turkey into bite-sized pieces.
Sandwich Assembly
