Method
Preparing the Fries
- 1
Cook the Fries
In a large pot or deep fryer, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 180°C (350°F). Carefully add the frozen French fries in batches and fry until golden brown and crispy, about 4-5 minutes per batch. Remove fries from the oil and drain on paper towels to absorb excess oil.
Assembling the Dish
- 2
Layer the Toppings
Once the fries are ready, arrange them on a large serving platter or individual plates. Evenly distribute the hot pastrami over the fries. Place Swiss cheese slices on top of the pastrami.
- 3
Melt the Cheese
Transfer the assembled fries to a preheated oven set to broil. Broil for 2-3 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Keep an eye on it to prevent burning.
- 4
Add Coleslaw and Dressing
Remove from the oven and top with the coleslaw mix. Drizzle the Russian dressing generously over the coleslaw and fries.
