Taco Fillings

Method

Prepare the Taco Fillings

  1. 1

    Cook the Ground Beef

In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef, chopped onion, and minced garlic. Cook until the beef is browned and the onions are translucent, about 5-7 minutes.

  2. 2

    Add Seasoning

Stir in the taco seasoning and salt. Mix well to coat the beef evenly. Add the rinsed black beans and cook for another 3-5 minutes until heated through.

  3. 3

    Add Fresh Herbs

Remove from heat and stir in the chopped cilantro. Set the filling aside.

Prepare the Tortillas

  1. 4

    Warm the Tortillas

If using corn or flour tortillas, warm them in a dry skillet over medium heat for about 30 seconds on each side until soft and pliable.

  2. 5

    Prepare Tostadas

If using crispy tostadas, they are ready as is. Set them aside for assembly.

Assemble the Tacos

  1. 6

    Fill the Tortillas

Take a warm tortilla or tostada and place a generous amount of the beef and bean filling in the center.

  2. 7

    Add Toppings

Top with shredded lettuce, diced tomato, shredded cheese, sour cream, and hot sauce to your liking.

Serve

  1. 8

    Garnish and Serve

Serve the tacos immediately with a side of cooked rice and beans. Enjoy your authentic Rosie's Tacos!
