Prepare the Ground Beef

Sauté Aromatics
In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat. Add the finely chopped onion and sauté until translucent, about 3-4 minutes. Add the minced garlic and sauté for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

Cook the Ground Beef
Increase the heat to medium-high and add the ground beef to the skillet. Break it apart with a spatula and cook until browned, about 6-8 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.

Season the Beef
Sprinkle the cumin powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper over the beef. Stir well to combine and let it cook for another 2-3 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

Prepare the Plate
On a serving plate, place a generous portion of the sautéed ground beef mixture.

Top the beef with shredded lettuce and drizzle with crema. Serve with lime wedges on the side for an extra burst of flavor.
