Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 375°F to 400°F).

  2. 2

    Prepare the Jalapeños

Wash the jalapeño peppers thoroughly. Slice them in half lengthwise and remove the seeds for less heat (if desired).

  3. 3

    Make the Filling

In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, cheddar cheese, chopped chives, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until fully combined.

  4. 4

    Stuff the Jalapeños

Spoon the cheese mixture into each jalapeño half until they are generously filled.

  5. 5

    Oil the Jalapeños

Brush the outside of the stuffed jalapeños with olive oil to prevent sticking and enhance grilling.

Grilling

  1. 6

    Grill the Jalapeños

Place the stuffed jalapeños on the preheated grill, cut side up. Close the grill lid and cook for about 10-12 minutes or until the jalapeños are tender and the cheese is melted and bubbly.

  2. 7

    Check for Doneness

Keep an eye on the jalapeños to avoid burning. You want the edges to be slightly charred and the cheese to be golden.

  3. 8

    Remove from Grill

Once done, carefully remove the jalapeños from the grill using tongs and place them on a serving platter.
