Method

Steak Preparation

  1. 1

    Marinate the Steak

In a bowl, combine olive oil, lime juice, garlic powder, cumin, salt, and black pepper. Add the flank steak and coat it well. Cover and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.

  2. 2

    Grill the Steak

Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Remove the steak from the marinade and grill for 5-7 minutes on each side or until it reaches your desired doneness. Let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

Eggs Preparation

  1. 3

    Cook the Eggs

In a non-stick frying pan, melt the butter over medium heat. Crack the eggs into the pan and cook them to your desired doneness (sunny-side up, over-easy, etc.). Season with salt and pepper.

Breakfast Potatoes Preparation

  1. 4

    Prepare the Potatoes

Dice the potatoes into small cubes. In a bowl, toss the potatoes with olive oil, paprika, salt, and black pepper.

  2. 5

    Cook the Potatoes

In a skillet over medium heat, add the seasoned potatoes. Cook for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they are golden brown and tender.

Plating

  1. 6

    Assemble the Dish

On a plate, serve the sliced carne asada alongside the cooked eggs and breakfast potatoes. Top with crumbled queso fresco and sprinkle with fresh cilantro.
