Burrito Preparation

  1. 1

    Grill the Steak

Season the steak with salt and pepper. Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Grill the steak for about 6-8 minutes per side, or until it reaches your desired doneness. Let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing thinly.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Rice

In a pot, combine 1 cup of rice with 2 cups of water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 18-20 minutes until the water is absorbed. Fluff with a fork before serving.

  3. 3

    Warm the Beans

In a small saucepan, heat the black beans over medium heat until warmed through. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Vegetables

Chop the lettuce and dice the avocado. Prepare the pico de gallo by mixing diced tomatoes, onions, cilantro, lime juice, and salt to taste.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Burrito

On a large burrito-sized tortilla, layer the grilled steak, cooked rice, black beans, lettuce, pico de gallo, sour cream, Monterey Jack cheese, French fries, and sliced avocado. Drizzle with habanero salsa.

  6. 6

    Wrap the Burrito

Fold the sides of the tortilla inwards, then roll from the bottom up to form a tightly packed burrito.

Serving

  1. 7

    Serve with Sides
