Method

Corn Tortilla Directions

  1. 1

    Mix the Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine masa harina, salt, and water. Stir until a soft dough forms.

  2. 2

    Knead the Dough

Knead the dough for about 1-2 minutes until it becomes smooth and pliable. If the dough is too dry, add a little more water.

  3. 3

    Divide the Dough

Divide the dough into 12 equal portions and roll each portion into a ball.

  4. 4

    Flatten the Dough

Using a tortilla press or a rolling pin, flatten each ball between two pieces of plastic wrap to about 1/8 inch thickness.

  5. 5

    Cook the Tortillas

Heat a dry skillet or griddle over medium-high heat. Cook each tortilla for about 30 seconds on each side, or until lightly browned and cooked through.

  6. 6
