Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Patties

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground steak with salt and black pepper. Mix gently until just combined. Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape each portion into a patty, about 3/4 inch thick.

  2. 2

    Cook the Patties

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes for medium doneness. Place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty during the last minute of cooking to melt.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Buns

Meanwhile, toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Burger

On the bottom half of each bun, layer lettuce, tomato, and pickles. Place the cooked patty with melted cheese on top, then add ketchup and mustard to taste. Top with the other half of the bun.

  5. 5

    Serve

Serve immediately with your favorite side dishes.
