Method

Burger Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Burger Patty

Season the Certified Angus Beef burger patty with salt and black pepper on both sides. Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat.

  2. 2

    Cook the Patty

Cook the burger patty for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes for medium-rare, or until desired doneness.

  3. 3

    Add Cheese

In the last minute of cooking, place the slice of Pepper Jack cheese on the patty to melt.

  4. 4

    Fry the Egg

In a separate pan, heat a little oil over medium heat. Crack the egg into the pan and cook until the white is set but the yolk is still runny, about 2-3 minutes.

  5. 5

    Cook the Bacon

In the same pan, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  6. 6

    Assemble the Burger

On the bottom half of the burger bun, layer the lettuce, cooked patty with melted cheese, blue cheese, onion slice, tomato slice, crispy bacon, hot relish, and finally the fried egg. Top with the other half of the bun.

  7. 7

    Serve

Serve the Engine Company Burger immediately with your choice of sides.
