Method

Burger Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Onion Rings

Slice the onion into thick rings. Soak the rings in buttermilk for about 30 minutes. In a separate bowl, mix flour, salt, and pepper. Dredge the soaked onion rings in the flour mixture.

  2. 2

    Fry the Onion Rings

Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan over medium heat. Fry the onion rings until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  3. 3

    Cook the Bacon

In a skillet, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove and place on paper towels to drain excess grease.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Burger Patties

Divide the ground beef into two equal portions (1/2 pound each). Form into patties and season with salt and pepper.

  5. 5

    Cook the Burger Patties

Grill or pan-fry the burger patties over medium-high heat for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach desired doneness.

  6. 6

    Assemble the Burger

On a burger bun, place the cooked patty, top it with BBQ sauce, crispy bacon, and a fried onion ring. Add the top half of the bun.

  7. 7

    Serve

Serve the Bankshot Burger hot with your choice of sides.
