Method

Prepare the Meat

  1. 1

    Cooking the Pork Shoulder

Rub the pork shoulder with salt, pepper, and your choice of dry rub. Smoke it in a smoker at 225°F for about 8-10 hours until the internal temperature reaches 195°F. Once done, let it rest before shredding.

  2. 2

    Cooking the Chicken Thighs

Marinate the chicken thighs with BBQ sauce overnight. Grill or smoke at medium heat for 30-40 minutes, basting with more BBQ sauce until fully cooked.

  3. 3

    Cooking the Brisket

Season the brisket with salt and pepper, then smoke for about 12-14 hours at 225°F until it reaches an internal temperature of 195°F. Let it rest for at least an hour before slicing.

Make the BBQ Sauce

  1. 4

    Combine Ingredients

In a saucepan, combine ketchup, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Bring to a simmer over medium heat and cook for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Prepare the Sides

  1. 5

    Coleslaw

Mix coleslaw mix with your choice of dressing (mayonnaise or vinegar-based) and chill until serving.

  2. 6

    BBQ Baked Beans

  3. 7

    Cornbread

Bake cornbread according to package directions or your favorite recipe and serve warm.
