1

Chill the can: If the can is not already cold, place it in a refrigerator for at least 2 hours (or in an ice bucket for 20–30 minutes) until it reaches around 37–45°F (3–7°C). A properly chilled can will taste best and reduce excessive foaming when opened.

2

Prepare glass (optional): If you prefer your drink over ice, fill a tall glass about halfway with 4 ice cubes. Leaving some room at the top prevents overflow when pouring.

3

Open the can: Hold the can upright on a stable surface. Lift the tab fully and pull back to break the seal. Allow any initial fizz to settle for a second to reduce spillage.

4

Pour (optional): Tilt the glass at about a 45° angle and pour the Dr Pepper slowly down the side to preserve carbonation and minimize foam. If not using a glass, you may drink directly from the can.

5

Garnish (optional): Squeeze the optional lemon wedge lightly over the top or drop it into the glass for a subtle citrus accent, if desired.

6

Serve immediately: Enjoy your Dr Pepper right away to appreciate the carbonation and flavor. Keep remaining canned soda refrigerated and consume within 24–48 hours for best quality once opened.
