Method

Dough Preparation

  1. 1

    Activate Yeast

In a small bowl, combine warm water (about 110°F/43°C), sugar, and active dry yeast. Stir gently and let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until frothy.

  2. 2

    Mix Dough Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour and salt. Make a well in the center and add the activated yeast mixture and olive oil.

  3. 3

    Knead the Dough

Mix the ingredients until a dough forms. Knead on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.

  4. 4

    Let Dough Rise

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until it doubles in size.

Filling Preparation

  1. 5

    Prepare Filling

While the dough is rising, prepare your filling by combining shredded mozzarella cheese, pepperoni slices, and pizza sauce in a bowl. Mix well and set aside.

Assembly and Baking

  1. 6

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. 7

    Roll Out the Dough

Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out on a floured surface into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick.

  3. 8

    Cut and Fill the Dough

Cut the dough into small squares (about 3x3 inches). Place a tablespoon of the filling in the center of each square.

  4. 9

    Seal the Rolls

Fold the corners of the dough over the filling to form a pocket. Pinch the edges to seal them tightly.

  5. 10

    Add Toppings

Arrange the filled rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush the tops with olive oil and sprinkle Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and grated Parmesan cheese on top.

  6. 11

    Bake

Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.

  7. 12

    Cool and Serve

Remove from the oven, let cool for a few minutes, and serve warm with extra pizza sauce for dipping.
