Mixing the Cocktail
In a mixing glass filled with ice, add 2 oz of Black Butte Malt Whiskey.

Adding Sweetness
Pour in 0.5 oz of simple syrup to the mixing glass.

Adding Bitters
Add 2 dashes of Angostura bitters to the mixture.

Stirring
Stir the mixture well for about 20-30 seconds until chilled.

Straining
Strain the mixture into a chilled cocktail glass.
Garnishing

Adding Orange Peel
Express the oils from a strip of orange peel over the drink and drop it in.

Garnish with a maraschino cherry on top.
