Preparation

  1. 1

    Combine Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine Rabbit Hole Bourbon and Calvados Cask Finish. Stir gently.

  2. 2

    Add Blackening Spice

Sprinkle the blackening spice blend evenly over the liquid mixture and stir until well combined.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Heat the Grill

Preheat your grill to high heat, about 400°F (200°C). Ensure that the grill grates are clean and well-oiled.

  2. 4

    Prepare for Blackening

Using a brush, coat the grill grates with a little oil to prevent sticking.

  3. 5

    Blacken the Mixture

Pour the bourbon mixture onto a large cast-iron skillet. Place the skillet on the grill and let it blacken for about 5 minutes or until you see a rich caramel color forming.

  4. 6

    Serve

Carefully remove the skillet from the grill. Let it cool for a minute before serving. Garnish with fresh thyme and lemon zest.
