Dry Ingredients

Wet Ingredients

Method

Mixing the Dough

  1. 1

    Combine Dry Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, salt, instant yeast, and sugar until evenly combined.

  2. 2

    Add Wet Ingredients

Make a well in the center of the dry mixture and pour in the warm water and olive oil. Mix with a wooden spoon until a shaggy dough begins to form.

Kneading and Rising

  1. 3

    Knead the Dough

Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 8-10 minutes until the dough is smooth and elastic.

  2. 4

    First Rise

Place the kneaded dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.

Shaping and Second Rise

  1. 5

    Shape the Dough

Once risen, punch down the dough to release air. On a floured surface, flatten it and sprinkle the chopped rosemary and minced garlic over it. Fold the dough over to incorporate the flavorings and shape it into a round loaf.

  2. 6

    Second Rise

Place the shaped dough on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Cover it with a cloth and let it rise for another 30 minutes.

Baking

  1. 7

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. 8

    Bake the Bread

Once risen, bake the bread in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the bread sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom.

  3. 9

    Cool and Serve

Remove the bread from the oven and let it cool on a wire rack for at least 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
