Preparation Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Filling
In a bowl, mix together the ricotta cheese, parmesan cheese, mozzarella cheese, chopped parsley, minced garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- 2
Roll the Braciola
Lay the thinly sliced beef or pork out on a flat surface. Place a generous amount of the cheese mixture at one end and roll tightly. Secure with toothpicks or kitchen twine.
- 3
Sear the Braciola
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Sear the rolled braciola on all sides until golden brown. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- 4
Prepare the Sauce
In the same skillet, add the crushed tomatoes, dried basil, and additional salt and pepper to taste. Bring the mixture to a simmer.
- 5
Combine and Cook
Return the seared braciola to the skillet, cover, and let simmer for about 30 minutes, turning occasionally.
- 6
Cook the Pasta
While the braciola is simmering, cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- 7
Serve
Slice the braciola and serve over the cooked pasta with the sauce poured on top.
