Method
Steak Preparation
- 1
- 2
Preheat the Grill
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat, about 400°F (200°C).
- 3
Grill the Steak
Place the marinated steaks on the grill. Grill for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, depending on the thickness of your steak. Use a meat thermometer to check for doneness.
- 4
Rest the Steak
Once cooked to your preference, remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
French Fries Preparation
- 5
Cut the Potatoes
Peel the russet potatoes and cut them into thin strips, about 1/4 inch thick.
- 6
Soak the Potatoes
Soak the cut potatoes in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch. This helps in achieving crispy fries.
- 7
Dry the Potatoes
After soaking, drain and thoroughly dry the potato strips using a clean kitchen towel or paper towels.
- 8
Heat the Oil
In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).
- 9
Fry the Potatoes
Carefully add the dried potato strips in batches to the hot oil. Fry for about 5-7 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
- 10
Season the Fries
While the fries are still hot, sprinkle with salt to taste.
