Method

Preparation

1

Prepare the Chicken

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. In a bowl, mix together the olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Coat the chicken breasts with the mixture.

2

Grill the Chicken

Place the seasoned chicken breasts on the preheated grill. Grill for 6-7 minutes on each side or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).

3

Add BBQ Sauce

During the last 2 minutes of grilling, brush the BBQ sauce over the chicken breasts. Allow it to caramelize slightly.

Assembly

4

Toast the Buns

While the chicken is grilling, split the burger buns and toast them on the grill until golden brown.

5

Assemble the Sandwich

Once the chicken is cooked, remove it from the grill and let it rest for a couple of minutes. Slice the chicken breasts into strips and place them on the bottom half of each toasted bun. Top with sliced pickles, sliced red onions, and shredded lettuce. Finish with the top half of the bun.
