Garlic Mashed Potatoes

Method

Steak Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ribeye Steaks

Remove the ribeye steaks from the refrigerator and let them sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes before cooking.

  2. 2

    Season the Steaks

Rub both sides of each ribeye steak with olive oil, then season generously with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Add the fresh rosemary sprigs on top.

Grilling the Steak

  1. 3

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to high heat (about 450°F to 500°F).

  2. 4

    Grill the Steaks

Place the seasoned ribeye steaks on the grill. For medium-rare, grill for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 130°F. Adjust cooking time for desired doneness.

  3. 5

    Rest the Steaks

Once cooked, remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing.

Garlic Mashed Potatoes Preparation

  1. 6

    Prepare the Potatoes

Peel the russet potatoes and cut them into quarters. Place them in a large pot of salted water.

  2. 7

    Cook the Potatoes

Bring the pot of water to a boil and cook the potatoes for about 15-20 minutes, or until tender when pierced with a fork.

  3. 8

    Prepare the Garlic

While the potatoes are cooking, peel and mince the garlic cloves.

Making the Mashed Potatoes

  1. 9

    Drain and Mash

Once the potatoes are cooked, drain them and return them to the pot. Add in the minced garlic, butter, milk, salt, and black pepper.

  2. 10

    Mix Until Smooth

Using a potato masher or a hand mixer, mash the potatoes until they reach your desired consistency. Adjust seasoning to taste.
