Method
Brownie Preparation
- 1
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
- 2
Melt the Butter
In a medium saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over low heat. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- 3
Mix Sugars and Eggs
In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar. Stir until well combined. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- 4
Combine Dry Ingredients
In another bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- 5
Combine Wet and Dry Mixtures
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
- 6
Add Chocolate Chips
Fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips into the batter.
- 7
Bake the Brownies
Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- 8
Cool and Cut
Remove the brownies from the oven and let them cool in the pan for about 10 minutes. Then, transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely before cutting into squares.
Serving Suggestion
- 9
Serve with Ice Cream
Serve the brownies warm or at room temperature with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top or on the side. Enjoy!
