Muddle the Sugar
In a mixing glass, add the demerara sugar and dashes of Angostura and blood orange bitters. Muddle until the sugar is dissolved.

Add the Bourbon
Pour in the Elijah Craig bourbon into the mixing glass and stir gently to combine.

Add Ice
Fill the mixing glass with ice cubes and stir until well chilled.

Strain and Serve
Strain the mixture into a rocks glass filled with a large ice cube.

Garnish
Express the oils from an orange peel over the drink and drop it in as a garnish.
