- 2
- 3
Season the Mixture
Stir in the chili powder, cumin, salt, and black pepper. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the spices are well combined with the meat.
Beans and Cheese Preparation
- 4
Prepare the Beans
In a small saucepan, heat the refried beans over low heat until warmed through, stirring occasionally for even heating.
- 5
Mix in Cheese
Once the beans are heated, stir in the shredded cheese until melted and fully combined.
Burrito Assembly
- 6
Prepare the Tortillas
Warm the large flour tortillas in a dry skillet for about 30 seconds on each side to make them pliable.
- 7
Assemble the Burrito
On each tortilla, spread a layer of refried bean and cheese mixture, followed by a portion of the beef filling, a dollop of sour cream, a spoonful of salsa, some shredded lettuce, and diced tomato.
- 8
Roll the Burrito
Fold in the sides of the tortilla and roll from the bottom up tightly to secure all fillings inside.
- 9
Serve
Slice the burrito in half and serve with extra salsa or sour cream on the side, if desired.
