Method

Taco Preparation

1

Cook the Meat

In a skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef. Cook until browned, stirring occasionally, about 5-7 minutes.

2

Add Seasoning

Drain excess fat from the skillet. Add taco seasoning to the cooked beef along with 1/4 cup of water. Stir well and let simmer for about 5 minutes.

3

Prepare Taco Shells

While the meat is simmering, warm the taco shells in the oven according to package instructions (usually about 5-10 minutes at 350°F).

4

Assemble Tacos

Once the taco shells are warmed, fill each shell with the seasoned ground beef. Top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, shredded cheese, sour cream, and sliced jalapeños to taste.

Optional Sides Preparation

5

Heat Refried Beans

Warm the refried beans in a small saucepan over medium heat until heated through, about 3-5 minutes.

6

Prepare Spanish Rice

Cook the Spanish rice according to package instructions, usually 15-20 minutes. Fluff with a fork before serving.

7

Serve Guacamole

Scoop the guacamole into a small bowl for serving alongside the tacos.
