Method

Preparing the Fries

  1. 1

    Cutting the Potatoes

Wash and peel the Russet potatoes. Cut them into thin strips, about 1/4 inch thick.

  2. 2

    Soaking the Potatoes

Soak the cut potatoes in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch.

  3. 3

    Drying the Potatoes

Drain the soaked potatoes and pat them dry with paper towels.

  4. 4

    Frying the Potatoes

In a large pot, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C). Fry the potatoes in batches until golden and crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  5. 5

    Seasoning the Fries

While the fries are still hot, season them with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.

Cooking the Wagyu Steak

  1. 6

    Seasoning the Steak

Season the American Wagyu steak on both sides with salt and black pepper.

  2. 7

    Cooking the Steak

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steak and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness. Let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

Preparing the Toppings

  1. 8

    Sautéing the Vegetables

In the same skillet used for the steak, add butter. Once melted, add sliced onions, mushrooms, and sweet bell peppers. Sauté until the vegetables are soft and caramelized, about 5-7 minutes.

  2. 9

    Melting the Cheese

Layer the sautéed vegetables over the fries, then top with slices of white American cheese. Place under a broiler for 1-2 minutes until the cheese is melted.

Assembling the Dish

  1. 10

    Combining Everything

Slice the rested Wagyu steak into thin strips. Top the loaded fries with the sliced steak and serve immediately.
