Steak and Toppings

Method

Preparing the Fries

  1. 1

    Bake the Fries

Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Spread the frozen French fries evenly on a baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil. Sprinkle with salt and black pepper. Toss to coat the fries evenly.

  2. 2

    Cook the Fries

Bake the fries in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and crispy, flipping halfway through cooking for even crispiness.

Preparing the Steak and Toppings

  1. 3

    Cook the Steak

While the fries are baking, heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Rub the ribeye steak with olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Once the skillet is hot, sear the steak for about 4-5 minutes on each side until it reaches your desired doneness. Remove from the skillet and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing thinly.

  2. 4

    Sauté the Vegetables

In the same skillet, add the sliced onions and mushrooms. Sauté over medium heat for about 5-7 minutes until the onions are translucent and the mushrooms are tender.

Assembling the Dish

  1. 5

    Combine Everything

Once the fries are done baking, remove them from the oven and arrange them on a serving platter. Top with the sliced steak, sautéed onions, mushrooms, and sprinkle the shredded white American cheese over everything.

  2. 6

    Melt the Cheese

Return the loaded fries to the oven for an additional 5 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Remove from the oven and serve immediately.
