Method
Preparation of Rice

Cook the Rice
In a medium saucepan, combine 1 cup of white rice, 2 cups of water, and 1 tsp of salt. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat.

Simmer
Once boiling, reduce the heat to low, cover, and let it simmer for 18-20 minutes until the rice is cooked and water is absorbed. Remove from heat and let it sit covered for 5 minutes.

Stir and Heat
Stir to combine and cook for about 5-7 minutes until heated through. Mash slightly with a fork for a creamy texture if desired.
Preparation of Meat (if using)

Add Seasoning
Stir in 1 tbs of taco seasoning and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until well combined.
Assembling the Burrito

Fill the Tortilla
Lay the large flour tortilla flat on a plate. In the center, add a scoop of rice, a scoop of seasoned beans, and, if using, a scoop of meat.

Add Toppings
Top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, shredded cheese, sour cream, and salsa to taste.

Wrap the Burrito
Fold the sides of the tortilla over the filling, then roll from the bottom up to create a burrito shape. Ensure it's tightly wrapped.
