Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Season the Tenderloin

Pat the beef tenderloin dry with paper towels. Rub the olive oil all over the meat and season generously with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and chopped fresh rosemary.

Cooking

  1. 2

    Sear the Tenderloin

Preheat a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the seasoned tenderloin and sear on all sides for about 2-3 minutes per side until browned.

  2. 3

    Finish Cooking

Reduce heat to medium and continue cooking the tenderloin for another 5-7 minutes, or until it reaches your desired doneness (135°F for medium-rare).

  3. 4

    Rest the Meat

Remove the tenderloin from the skillet and let it rest for about 5 minutes before slicing to allow the juices to redistribute.
