1. Prepare the Tomato Mixture

Chop the fresh tomatoes and place them in a bowl. Add finely chopped fresh basil, minced garlic, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt, and black pepper. Toss everything together until well combined.

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Slice the French baguette into 1/2-inch thick slices. Arrange the slices on a baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil. Toast in the oven for about 5-7 minutes, or until golden brown.
