Kusbasi Pide Preparation
Prepare the Filling
In a frying pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, and sauté until the onion is translucent.
Cook the Meat
Add the ground lamb or beef to the pan. Cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula. Stir in the diced tomato, chopped bell peppers, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Cook for an additional 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are tender.
Assemble the Pide
Preheat the oven to 220°C (428°F). On a baking sheet, lay out the pita or flatbreads. Spoon the meat and vegetable mixture evenly over each piece.
Bake
Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges of the bread are crispy.
