Chicken Wings

French Fries

Method

Preparation of Chicken Wings

  1. 1

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, salt, black pepper, paprika, and garlic powder. Mix well to create a seasoned flour mixture.

  2. 2

    Coat Chicken Wings

Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels and then toss them in the seasoned flour mixture until fully coated. Shake off any excess flour.

  3. 3

    Heat Oil

In a large skillet or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 180°C (350°F).

  4. 4

    Fry Chicken Wings

Carefully add the coated chicken wings to the hot oil in batches. Fry for about 8-10 minutes or until golden brown and crispy, turning occasionally. Remove wings and drain on paper towels.

  5. 5

    Toss in Sauce

In a large bowl, combine the fried chicken wings with your choice of hot sauce. Toss until wings are well coated.

Preparation of French Fries

  1. 6

    Prepare Potatoes

Peel the potatoes and cut them into thin strips or wedges, depending on your preference.

  2. 7

    Soak Potatoes

Place the cut potatoes in a bowl of cold water and soak for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch. This helps to make them crispy.

  3. 8

    Dry Potatoes

Drain the soaked potatoes and pat them dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.

  4. 9

    Heat Oil for Frying

In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 180°C (350°F).

  5. 10

    Fry Potatoes

Carefully add the dried potatoes to the hot oil in batches. Fry for about 5-7 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Remove fries and drain on paper towels.

  6. 11

    Season Fries

Immediately sprinkle the hot fries with salt while they are still hot for better adherence.
