Preparation

1

Gather Ingredients

Collect all the ingredients needed for the Woodford Reserve cocktail, including Woodford Reserve Bourbon, simple syrup, Angostura bitters, orange peel, ice cubes, and a maraschino cherry for garnish.

2

Prepare the Glass

Chill an Old Fashioned glass by filling it with ice water. Let it sit while you prepare the drink.

Mixing

3

Combine Ingredients

In a mixing glass, add 2 oz of Woodford Reserve Bourbon, 0.5 oz of simple syrup, and 2 dashes of Angostura bitters.

4

Add Ice

Fill the mixing glass with ice cubes, about 1 cup, and stir the mixture gently for about 20-30 seconds until well chilled.

Serving

5

Strain and Serve

Remove the chilled Old Fashioned glass from the ice water, and strain the mixed cocktail into the glass.

6

Garnish the Drink

Express the oils from the piece of orange peel over the drink and then place it into the glass. Add the maraschino cherry on top as a garnish.
