Method

Wings

  1. 1

    Prepare the Chicken Wings

Rinse the chicken wings under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.

  2. 2

    Season the Wings

In a large bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Toss the chicken wings in the seasoned flour mixture until evenly coated.

  3. 3

    Heat the Oil

In a deep frying pan or pot, heat the oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  4. 4

    Fry the Wings

Carefully add the coated chicken wings to the hot oil in batches, avoiding overcrowding. Fry for about 8-10 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through. Use a meat thermometer to ensure the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).

  5. 5

    Drain and Toss in Sauce

Remove the wings from the oil and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil. In a large bowl, toss the wings with your choice of sauce until evenly coated.

Fries

  1. 6

    Prepare the Potatoes

Peel the potatoes and cut them into long, thin strips to form fries.

  2. 7

    Soak the Fries

Soak the cut fries in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch, which helps to achieve crispiness.

  3. 8

    Heat the Oil for Fries

In a deep frying pan or large pot, heat the oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  4. 9

    Fry the Potatoes

Drain the fries and pat them dry with paper towels. Carefully add the fries to the hot oil in batches, frying for about 4-5 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.

  5. 10

    Season the Fries

Remove the fries from the oil and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil. Season with salt to taste while they are still hot.
