Method

Preparing the Flatbread

  1. 1

    Mix the Dough

In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the warm water and olive oil, mixing until a soft dough forms.

  2. 2

    Knead and Roll

Transfer the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 5 minutes until smooth. Roll out the dough into a thin rectangle or circle, about 1/4 inch thick.

  3. 3

    Bake the Flatbread

Preheat your oven to 220°C (425°F). Place the rolled-out dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden and crispy.

Preparing the Seafood

  1. 4

    Season the Seafood

In a bowl, toss the shrimp and crawfish tails with the blackening seasoning to coat evenly.

  2. 5

    Cook the Seafood

In a skillet over medium-high heat, add a bit of olive oil. Sauté the seasoned shrimp and crawfish for about 3-4 minutes, or until the shrimp turns pink and opaque. Remove from heat.

Assembling the Flatbread

  1. 6

    Prepare the Sauce

In a bowl, mix together the softened cream cheese, sour cream, lemon juice, and chopped parsley until smooth and well combined.

  2. 7

    Spread and Top

Spread the creamy sauce evenly over the baked flatbread. Scatter the sautéed shrimp and crawfish over the sauce, and top with shredded mozzarella cheese.

  3. 8

    Final Bake

Return the flatbread to the oven and bake for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
