Method

Burger Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Burger Patties

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until just combined to form a uniform mixture.

  2. 2

    Form the Patties

Divide the beef mixture into two equal portions and shape them into round patties, about ¾ inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent puffing during cooking.

  3. 3

    Cook the Patties

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium doneness, adding the American cheese slices on top of each patty during the last minute of cooking to melt.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Burger

Toast the burger buns lightly on the grill or skillet. Place a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each bun, followed by the cooked patty with melted cheese, tomato slices, onion slices, and pickles. Top with the other half of the bun.

Fries Directions

  1. 5

    Prepare the Potatoes

Wash and peel the potatoes, then cut them into thin strips to create fries.

  2. 6

    Heat the Oil

In a large pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  3. 7

    Fry the Potatoes

Carefully add the potato strips to the hot oil in batches, frying for about 4-5 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Use a slotted spoon to remove the fries and drain them on paper towels.

  4. 8

    Season the Fries

While the fries are still hot, sprinkle them with salt to taste.
