Burger Ingredients

Method

Burger Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Patties

Divide the ground beef into four equal portions (2 oz each). Shape them into loose balls without compressing them too much.

  2. 2

    Heat the Grill or Skillet

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat until hot.

  3. 3

    Smash the Patties

Place two beef balls on the grill or skillet. Using a spatula, press down firmly to smash each ball into a thin patty. Season with salt and pepper.

  4. 4

    Cook the Patties

Cook the patties for about 2-3 minutes on one side until a nice crust forms. Flip and cook for another 1-2 minutes.

  5. 5

    Add Cheese

In the last minute of cooking, pour nacho cheese sauce over the patties and cover to allow the cheese to melt.

  6. 6

    Prepare the Buns

Toast the brioche buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

  7. 7

    Assemble the Burgers

On the bottom half of each toasted bun, layer shredded lettuce, sliced tomato, onion, the cheesy smashed patties, burger sauce, and pickles. Top with the other half of the bun.

  8. 8

    Serve

Serve immediately with your choice of sides.
