Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Onions

Slice the medium onion into thin rings. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add 1 tablespoon of butter. Once melted, add the onions. Sprinkle with salt and pepper, and cook, stirring occasionally, until the onions are caramelized and golden brown, about 10-15 minutes.

  2. 2

    Cook the Burger Patty

In the same skillet, after removing the onions, add the 4oz Impossible Burger Patty. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until heated through. Place a slice of cheese on top of the patty during the last minute of cooking to allow it to melt.

  3. 3

    Assemble the Patty Melt

While the patty is cooking, spread 1 tablespoon of butter on one side of each slice of Texas Toast. Once the patty is done, remove it from the skillet and set aside. In the same skillet, place one slice of Texas Toast butter side down. Add the patty with melted cheese on top, followed by the caramelized onions. Top with the second slice of Texas Toast, butter side up.

  4. 4

    Grill the Patty Melt

Grill the sandwich over medium heat for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the bread is golden brown and crispy.

  5. 5

    Serve

Remove from the skillet, slice in half, and serve warm. Enjoy your Patty Melt!
