Cake Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Cake Batter

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Add the softened butter and mix until crumbly. Then, add the eggs, mango puree, and vanilla extract, and mix until smooth.

  2. 2

    Bake the Cake

Pour the batter into a greased and floured 9-inch round cake pan. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let the cake cool for 10 minutes before removing it from the pan.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Buttercream

In a mixing bowl, beat together 1 cup of unsalted butter until creamy. Gradually add 4 cups of powdered sugar, 1/4 cup of cream cheese, and 2-3 tablespoons of milk, mixing until fluffy and smooth. Adjust the consistency with more milk if necessary.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Cake

Once the cake is completely cooled, frost the top and sides with the cream cheese buttercream. Garnish with a sprinkle of black salt and a dried organic mango slice on top before serving.
