Chik’n Tenders

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Breading

In a large bowl, combine the flour, cornstarch, baking powder, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.

  2. 2

    Create the Batter

In a separate bowl, mix the plant-based milk with the dry ingredients until smooth.

  3. 3

    Bread the Chik’n Tenders

Dip each chik’n tender into the flour mixture, then into the batter, and finally coat with bread crumbs. Repeat for all tenders.

  4. 4

    Heat the Oil

In a deep fryer or large pot, heat the oil to 350°F (175°C).

  5. 5

    Fry the Chik’n Tenders

Carefully place the breaded chik’n tenders into the hot oil, frying in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 4-5 minutes per batch.

  6. 6

    Drain and Serve

Remove the fried tenders from the oil and drain on paper towels. Serve with your choice of sauces.

  7. 7

    Prepare Beer Battered French Fries

Cut potatoes into fries, soak in cold water for 30 minutes, pat dry, then coat in a beer batter made with flour, cornstarch, and beer, and fry until crispy.
