Prepare the Pork
Rub the pork shoulder with olive oil, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Make sure the pork is evenly coated.

Cook the Pork
Place the seasoned pork shoulder in a slow cooker. Cook on low for 8 hours or until the pork is tender and easily shredded.

Shred the Pork
Once cooked, remove the pork shoulder from the slow cooker and shred it using two forks. Return the shredded pork to the slow cooker.
BBQ Sauce

Prepare the BBQ Sauce
In a bowl, mix together the ketchup, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper until well combined.

Combine Sauce with Pork
Pour the BBQ sauce over the shredded pork in the slow cooker. Stir well to coat the pork evenly. Let it cook on low for an additional 30 minutes.
Sandwich Assembly

Assemble the Sandwich
Toast the burger buns lightly. Place a generous portion of the BBQ pulled pork on the bottom half of each bun.

Top the pork with a handful of pickles. Place the top half of the bun on the sandwich to complete.
