Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare Ingredients

Wash the green beans thoroughly and trim the ends. Dice the bacon into small pieces. Peel and chop the onion into small pieces.

Cooking

  1. 2

    Cook Bacon and Onion

In a large pot, cook the diced bacon over medium heat until it becomes crispy. Add the chopped onion to the pot and sauté for about 5 minutes until the onion becomes translucent.

  2. 3

    Add Green Beans

Once the onions are translucent, add the trimmed green beans to the pot and stir well to combine with the bacon and onion.

  3. 4

    Add Bone Broth

Pour the bone broth over the green beans, ensuring they are fully submerged in the liquid. If necessary, add a little water to cover the beans.

  4. 5

    Season

Sprinkle the salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes over the mixture. Stir to evenly distribute the seasonings.

  5. 6

    Simmer

Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low. Cover the pot and let it simmer for about 20 minutes, or until the green beans are tender.

Serving

  1. 7

    Serve

Once the green beans are tender, remove from heat and serve warm. Enjoy your delicious green beans simmered in bone broth with bacon and onions!
