Preparing the Salad Base

Wash and Chop Lettuce
Rinse the romaine lettuce under cold water. Shake off excess water and chop it into bite-sized pieces. Place the chopped lettuce in a large salad bowl.

Prepare Parmesan Cheese
Grate or shave the parmesan cheese using a cheese grater or a vegetable peeler. Set aside.

Add Croutons
Add the croutons to the bowl with the chopped romaine lettuce.
Making the Dressing

Combine Ingredients
In a medium bowl, combine mayonnaise, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, minced garlic, and anchovy paste.

Mix the Dressing
Whisk the ingredients together until smooth. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
Assembling the Salad

Toss the Salad
Pour the dressing over the salad base (romaine lettuce, parmesan cheese, and croutons) in the large salad bowl.

Serve
Gently toss all the ingredients together until the lettuce is evenly coated with the dressing. Serve immediately.
