Method

Brisket Preparation

  1. 1

    Season the Brisket

In a bowl, mix salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika. Rub this mixture all over the brisket.

  2. 2

    Cook the Brisket

Place the seasoned brisket in a slow cooker. Pour beef broth over it. Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours until tender. Once done, shred the brisket using two forks.

Slaw Preparation

  1. 3

    Mix Slaw Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine shredded cabbage, shredded carrots, mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until the cabbage and carrots are coated.

Pico de Gallo Preparation

  1. 4

    Prepare Pico de Gallo

In a separate bowl, mix diced tomatoes, diced red onion, chopped cilantro, lime juice, and salt. Stir together and let it sit for flavors to meld.

Bean Salad Preparation

  1. 5

    Combine Bean Salad Ingredients

In a bowl, mix together black beans, corn, diced red bell pepper, chopped cilantro, lime juice, and salt. Stir to combine.

White BBQ Sauce Preparation

  1. 6

    Make White BBQ Sauce

In a bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, honey, salt, and pepper until smooth.

Fried Jalapeños Preparation

  1. 7

    Prepare Jalapeños

In a bowl, mix flour, cornstarch, and salt. Dip jalapeño slices into the mixture, ensuring they are well-coated.

  2. 8

    Fry the Jalapeños

In a deep pan, heat oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, carefully fry the jalapeño slices until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Assembling Tacos

  1. 9

    Warm the Tortillas

In a skillet, warm the corn tortillas over medium heat for about 30 seconds on each side until pliable.

  2. 10

    Assemble the Tacos

On each tortilla, layer shredded brisket, shredded cheddar cheese, slaw, pico de gallo, bean salad, and drizzle with white BBQ sauce. Top with fried jalapeños.

  3. 11

    Serve

Serve the tacos immediately with additional lime wedges and your favorite hot sauce, if desired.
