Method

Pudding Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Pudding

In a medium saucepan, heat 2 cups of milk over medium heat until warm. Gradually whisk in the vanilla pudding mix until fully blended. Continue to cook, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens and comes to a gentle boil. Remove from heat and let cool for 5 minutes.

  2. 2

    Slice the Bananas

While the pudding is cooling, peel the bananas and slice them into thin rounds.

Assembly

  1. 3

    Layer the Ingredients

In a large serving dish or individual cups, start by placing a layer of vanilla wafers on the bottom. Then add a layer of sliced bananas, followed by a layer of the prepared pudding. Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with a layer of pudding on top.

  2. 4

    Top with Whipped Cream

Spread 2 cups of whipped cream evenly over the top layer of pudding. Optionally, you may garnish with additional banana slices or crushed vanilla wafers.

  3. 5

    Chill and Serve

Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving, allowing the flavors to meld together. Serve chilled.
