Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Salmon

Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Brush both sides with olive oil and season with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Let them marinate for about 15 minutes at room temperature.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Asparagus

Wash the asparagus and trim the tough ends off. Toss them with a little olive oil, salt, and pepper.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Grill the Salmon

Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Place the salmon fillets skin-side down on the grill. Grill for about 6-8 minutes on each side until the salmon is cooked through and has grill marks.

  2. 4

    Grill the Asparagus

At the same time, place the asparagus on the grill. Grill for about 4-5 minutes, turning occasionally, until they are tender and slightly charred.

Making Lemon Butter Sauce

  1. 5

    Prepare the Sauce

In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the butter. Once melted, stir in lemon juice, lemon zest, and finely chopped parsley. Keep warm until ready to serve.

Serving

  1. 6

    Plate the Dish

Place the grilled salmon fillets on a serving plate, arrange the grilled asparagus on the side, and drizzle the lemon butter sauce over the salmon. Garnish with additional lemon slices and parsley if desired.
