Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Glass

Take a sturdy glass, such as an Old Fashioned glass, and place it on a flat surface.

  2. 2

    Muddle the Lime

Place the lime wedges in the glass. Use a muddler or the back of a spoon to gently crush the lime wedges to release the juice. Be careful not to pulverize them; a gentle press is enough to extract the flavors.

  3. 3

    Add Sugar

Sprinkle the white sugar over the muddled lime. Use the muddler again to mix the sugar with the lime juice until the sugar dissolves, creating a sweet lime mixture.

  4. 4

    Add Cachaça

Pour in the 2 oz of Avuá Prata cachaça over the lime and sugar mixture in the glass.

  5. 5

    Add Ice

Fill the glass with crushed ice, allowing it to sit just above the rim of the glass.

  6. 6

    Stir and Serve

Use a spoon or a straw to gently stir the drink, mixing the lime, sugar, and cachaça with the ice. Serve immediately and enjoy your refreshing Caipirinha!
