Prepare the Bread
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Slice the baguette diagonally into 1/2-inch thick slices. Arrange the slices on a baking sheet.

Drizzle Olive Oil
Brush each slice of bread with olive oil using a pastry brush. Make sure to coat the top and edges.

Bake the Bread
Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for about 8-10 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and crispy.

Chop the Tomatoes
While the bread is baking, wash and dice the tomatoes into small cubes. Place them in a mixing bowl.

Mince the Garlic
Peel and finely mince the garlic cloves. Add them to the bowl with the tomatoes.

Add Basil and Seasoning
Tear the fresh basil leaves into smaller pieces and add them to the mixing bowl. Season the mixture with salt and black pepper. Toss everything together gently.

Top the Bread
Remove the toasted bread from the oven. Top each slice generously with the tomato mixture.
