Preparation Steps

  1. 1

    Prepare the Mixing Glass

Begin by filling a mixing glass with ice cubes to chill it down. This will help maintain the drink's temperature while mixing.

  2. 2

    Measure and Add Ingredients

Pour 2 oz of Balvenie 12 Year Single Malt Scotch into the mixing glass.

  3. 3

    Add Sweet Vermouth

Next, measure and add 1 oz of Edison Blend Sweet Vermouth to the mixing glass.

  4. 4

    Incorporate Bénédictine Liqueur

Add 0.5 oz of D.O.M. Bénédictine Liqueur to the mixture in the mixing glass.

  5. 5

    Add Bitters

Using a dash bottle, add 2 dashes of Angostura Bitters into the mixing glass.

  6. 6

    Stir the Mixture

Using a bar spoon, stir the mixture gently but thoroughly for about 30 seconds to ensure all ingredients are well combined and chilled.

  7. 7

    Strain into Glass

Using a strainer, pour the cocktail into a chilled coupe or cocktail glass, leaving the ice behind.

  8. 8

    Garnish the Drink

Twist a piece of lemon peel over the drink to release its oils, then drop it into the glass as a garnish.
