Escargot Preparation

Grilled Baguette

Method

Escargot Cooking

  1. 1

    Sauté the Aromatics

In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and chopped shallots, sautéing until fragrant and translucent, about 2-3 minutes.

  2. 2

    Cook the Escargot

Add the escargot to the skillet and cook for another 2 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  3. 3

    Add Wine and Lemon

Pour in the red wine and lemon juice. Simmer for about 5-7 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld and the wine to reduce slightly.

  4. 4

    Finish with Butter and Parsley

Stir in the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter and chopped parsley, cooking until the butter is melted and well combined. Remove from heat.

Grilling the Baguette

  1. 5

    Prepare the Baguette

Slice the baguette into 1-inch thick slices. Brush each slice lightly with olive oil.

  2. 6

    Grill the Baguette

Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Grill each slice for 1-2 minutes on each side until golden and crispy.
